SDGs Law and Governance Pillar Manager
The SDGs Law and Governance Pillar Manager is a crucial role within the Jakarta Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Secretariat, playing a central part in the Jakarta SDGs Implementation Coordination Team. This position focuses on advancing legal frameworks and governance structures to ensure Jakarta’s policies and practices align with the 17 SDGs.
Established under the Governor's Decree Number 426 of 2023, the Secretariat operates under the guidance of the Head of the Regional Research and Innovation Center of the Jakarta Regional Development Planning Agency, who chairs the SDGs Implementation Team for 2023-2026.
The Law and Governance Pillar Manager will lead efforts in legal analysis, policy development, regulatory compliance, governance improvement, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and capacity building to foster a strong legal and governance environment that supports sustainable development in Jakarta.

Law Analysis
Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing legal frameworks and regulations to identify gaps and propose improvements for alignment with SDGs.
Policy Development
Develop and recommend new policies or amendments to existing laws to enhance their effectiveness in supporting sustainable development goals.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that all legal and regulatory activities meet national and international standards related to the SDGs.
Governance Improvement
Enhance governance structures and practices to support effective implementation of SDG-related initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with key stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and community organizations, to build support for legal and governance reforms.
Advocacy and Representation
Advocate for legal and governance reforms and represent the Secretariat in discussions and negotiations with external parties.
Capacity Building
Provide training and support to legal professionals and governance bodies to enhance their capability in implementing SDG-related initiatives.
